The Foreclosed "Real Estate Owned"* units purchased as a primary residence must be within the County’s Area of Greatest Need. There are two (2) areas designated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development within the borders of Hernando County: one in Spring Hill and one in Brooksville. The areas are delineated in the map below and the two accompanying attachments.

* "Real Estate Owned" is a class of property owned by a lender, typically a bank, after an unsuccessful sale at a foreclosure auction.
