Fannie Mae “First Look” Initiative |
Homes available for purchase via the First Look program established by Fannie Mae can be viewed at www.homepath.com. Fannie Mae has set up the guidelines to give home buyers an edge: the ability to purchase a foreclosed home with a 15 day window of opportunity without having to compete with investors during this time period. The web site is set up to provide an in-depth explanation of Fannie Mae offerings and rules, along with a search function to locate listed homes in your desired location. All you need to do is go to the site, www.homepath.com , set up an account and put in the appropriate zip code(s) in Hernando County. This will deliver to you all the Fannie Mae listings in the zip codes you selected. You can even set the search to update your e-mail account with new listings as they are posted. Your realtor can then use the information to show you the homes of your choice and obtain the forms needed in order to place an offer to Fannie Mae.

Disclaimer: The homes listed on www.homepath.com may or may not be eligible for The Hernando County Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). Please contact a local Hernando County realtor when you have found a home you like. The realtor will assist you in determining if the home is NSP eligible. No home will be deemed NSP eligible until the County has inspected and approved it. |
